    Placing a call:
        There are 3 different ways to place a call:  The first is to pick up the handset, dial the number and hit the check-mark (or the green dial button) to complete the call.
        The second is to dial while the handset is in the cradle and then press the check-mark (or the green dial button), this will initiate the call using the hands free speakerphone.
        The third is to dial the number while the handset is in the cradle, than pick up the handset which will complete the call.
 
 
    Answering a call:
        You can answer the phone by just picking up the handset, pressing the ringing line button, press the speaker button (if you phone has one), or the check-mark (or the green dial button).
 
 
    Transferring a call:
        Blind transfer
            Blind transfer just transfers the call over to another extension.  To do this while in a call just press the transfer (XFer) soft button (usually under the display) then dial the extension number you want to transfer to then press the check-mark or transfer (Xfer) button again.
        Warm (attended) transfer Where the call is placed on hold, a call is placed to another party, a conversation can take place privately before the caller on hold is connected to the new destination.
 
 
    Voice Mail:
        Initial setup
            To access voicemail dial *98 (or *85) the system will ask for your password then will guide you (our new server only) through the initial setup. You MUST change your password or the system will ask you to go through the initial setup again.
 
 
     Record greetings:
            To access voicemail dial *98 (or *85) the system will ask for your password then press 0 for mailbox options and follow the prompts to record your AWAY and BUSY greetings.
 
 
     Picking up VM:
            From a system phone
                To access voicemail dial *98 (or *85) the system will ask for your password then dial 1 to listen to messages
 
            From an outside phone (only if you have an auto attendant setup or someone can send your call to your extension)
                Dial into your auto attendant, dial your extension and when your current greeting starts to play hit the * key and the system will ask for your password.
 
            From the user portal
                See info on "User Portal" Below...
 
            VM to email
                You can send the audio WAV file to your email.  See the user portal info below.
 
 
    Call forward:
        From a system code
            Dial *72 from your system phone, you will be asked for the extension number to forward dial it then press #, you will then be asked for the destination which can be an extension or another phone number then press #.
 
        From the user portal
            See portal info below
 
 
    Conference:
        Dial the first number then place them on hold.  Dial the second number then press the conference button.
        
 
 
 
    User Portal:
        - Contacts
 

            Personal Contacts

                * You can dial directly from the web portal by clicking on the highlighted numbers.

                * Click on the number

                * It will dial the number

                * Then it will ring your extension

                * Answer the call and you should be connected

                * Create Contact:

                * Select the Create contact button in the upper right hand corner.

                * Enter the required info

                * Enter save to complete the addition

                * Delete Contact

                * Select the contacts you want to delete

                * Click the Delete selected button in the upper right hand corner.

                * Confirm the deletion
 

             Company Contacts – SAME AS PERSONAL CONTACTS

                * You can dial directly from the web portal by clicking on the highlighted numbers.

                * Click on the number

                * It will dial the number

                * Then it will ring your extension

                * Answer the call and you should be connected

                * Create Contact

                * Select the Create contact button in the upper right hand corner.

                * Enter the required info

                * Enter save to complete the addition

                * Delete Contact

                * Select the contacts you want to delete

                * Click the Delete selected button in the upper right hand corner.

                * Confirm the deletion

 

        Send Fax:

                * Enter phone number

                * Select PDF or Tiff file

                * Press the upload button and this will send the fax
 

        Call History:

            - Recent Calls

                * Account Code – Leave Blank

                * Caller ID - Leave Blank

                * Source - if you know the phone number that called you and you are looking for all the times they called.

                * Destination – if you are looking for the phone you called


            - Voicemail

                * Select – if you want to email or delete


            - Recorded Calls

                * Select – leave as ALL

                * Destination – if you know the phone number that called you and are looking for its recordings

                * Caller ID – if you the phone number that you dialed and you are looking for its recordings

                * From and To date – you can search between dates

                * You can play the recording from the web portal by clicking the play button

                * You can download the recording by clicking on the download button so you can save it to your local machine. We hold the recordings only for 90 days and we cannot retrieve it after it is gone.


        Settings:

            - Personal Preferences

                * If you want to change your web login password

            - Contact Info

                * If you want to update your information

            - Voicemail Settings

                * You can change your voicemail PIN number

                * You can select to email you your voicemail

                * You can select to delete the voicemail after it has email you.

            - Music on Hold – Not available currently

            - Call Forwarding – Find Me/Follow me feature

                * Call forwarding

                * You can enable or disable Voicemail

                * How long to wait before going to voicemail

                * You can enable permanent call forwarding

                * You can select if you are on the phone to call forward it to another number

                * Find Me / Follow Me

                * If you enable this feature you can have it ring different locations if you are not at your phone

                * If you enable this feature with caller IDs it will only ring on the caller IDs you entered

            - Call Screening

                * If you leave this feature disable it will allow all calls to come to you

                * If you enable this feature you can select that the caller say his name and then it will connect to you and play the recording. Then you have the option to accept or decline the call

                * Also if there is no caller ID you can ask them for their name and their phone number.

            - Call Blocking

                * If you leave this feature disable you can block callers by putting in their phone number

                * If you enable this feature you allow only callers with the phone numbers you enter

            - Call Recording

            - Fax Settings

                    * You can set your fax caller ID

            - Day / Night Mode

                   * you can activate your day/night call routing mode (operator assisted routing) from here
